Tips
- Whip your egg whites. Whipping your egg whites will make your waffle light and fluffy.
- Melted butter topping. Use a generous amount of melted butter after your waffles are done. It will help the cinnamon sugar stick on better.

Can I Freeze Waffles?
Yes! Store waffles in freezer bag and defrost by putting waffle in toaster.
You can also place in oven at 250 F for about 10 minutes.


Churro Stout Waffles
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup stout
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
- 1 stick unsalted butter melted
- 2 egg yolks
- 4 egg whites
Churro Topping
- 1 stick salted butter melted
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- Dulce de Leche serving
- hot fudge serving
Instructions
Waffles
- Whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt in a medium bowl.
- In a large bowl, mix together the milk, stout beer, vanilla, melted butter, and egg yolks. Using a rubber spatula, pour the dry ingredients into the liquid until just combined.
- In a 3rd bowl, whip up the egg whites until stiff peaks. Fold whipped eggs into batter. Let it sit for 10 minutes.
- Cook waffles according to waffle iron directions. let waffles cool before stacking them.
Churro Topping
- Mix together the sugar and cinnamon. Using a pastry brush, baste the waffles in butter. Sprinkle cinnamon sugar on each waffle. Add desired toppings.
